Other companies in the region competed, but the popularity of "Sandwich" pieces resulted in the name becoming a generic term or pressed glass.

Inspired by the lacy delicacy of these designs particularly the classic "Roman Rosette" pattern, Avon has created this unique collection. Not only does it recall the beauty of this quality glass, but its name commemorates both the spirit of the 1876 Philadelphia Centennial, which celebrated the 100th Anniversary o the Declaration of Independence, and the area where Sandwich glass originated. "

Cup
Approx 3" diameter (4.5" wide including handle)
Holds approx 7-8 fluid ounces

Saucer is approx 5.5" in diameter

Hand wash only.

_____________

We have many pieces from this Avon 1876 Cape Cod Ruby Collection.
